Yamaha YZF-R1 Launch Event - 27th February at Woking Yamaha
As you can see the R1 launch event on 27th February was well attended with the shop crowded with people eager to see the new bike and find out if they had won a new R1. The lucky winners of the bike and the trip to the Catalunya MotoGP were drawn by Yamaha UK and notified at 8pm. Unfortunately they weren’t in our dealership, but a very pleased Barry Davis won first prize of a Ron Haslam Track Day in our own free draw.
We had two R1's available on display; one inside the shop and another outside demonstrating the awesome sound of the new engine and exhaust.
Availability is going to be a bit of an issue on this new model. With restricted supply from the factory we've been advised by Yamaha that allocations are going to be a bit tight. At the time of writing we have one unsold in blue and one in white/red with black on the way.
